The College
Currently the C
ollege occupies two sites in close proximity. The main campus is in Thistle Street with the School of Social and Community Studies located in the nearby Adelphi Centre. The College provides further and higher education for over 9,000 people every year. There are around 2,000 students on campus at any one time. Some are on courses such as Business Studies, Computing, Sport, Childcare or Beauty. Others are attending courses leading to Marine and Engineering qualifications. Glasgow College of Nautical Studies is situated next to Glasgow Green, one of the main established parks in Glasgow and is only a few minutes walk from the city centre thoroughfare.
The centre of Glasgow hosts a variety of bars, restaurants and night clubs and is the second largest shopping district in the UK. Many further attractions are less than 1 hour away including Edinburgh, Stirling, Loch Lomond and the Trossachs.

The City has excellent transport links to the rest of Britain with Queen Street Station and Central Station being major railway terminals. Fast intercity links mean London can be reached in a little over 5 hours and there are services to all major stations including Leeds, Inverness, Manchester and Birmingham. The College is only a few minutes from the M6/M80/ M74 Motorways and 15 minutes from Glasgow International Airport which has air links to every part of the world.
