ALN Classes
Other qualification, Flexible learning, School of Social and Community Studies
Course overview
We offer a well established range of ALN classes which take place within the Adelphi Centre at various times throughout the week. The aim of ALN provision at GCNS is to provide meaningful ALN support to learners in line with the Scottish Social Practice Model, which will enable learners to develop and improve their Literacy and Numeracy skills by supporting them to identify their strengths and areas of development, and to set achievable personal learning goals. Furthermore, the classes aim to empower learners to take control of their own learning and to build confidence and self-esteem among learners by supporting them to participate in small group learning situations and by encouraging them to review and recognise personal achievements and progress on a regular basis.
