Course overview

The aim of the course is to provide training and qualifications necessary for employment in the Merchant Navy as an Engineering Officer. Successful attainment of all elements of the course will give full exemptions for Second Engineer MCA examination academic subjects. Progression to Second Engineer Officer is achieved after gaining the appropriate sea time, experience and MCA certificate of competency.
