Post HND Nautical Science. SCQF Level 8.

Course overview

The course is designed for Deck Cadet entrants who already posses an HND in Nautical Science or a BSc in Nautical Science and have completed the requisite seatime needed for award of an MCA Certificate of Competency. All students are sponsored either by various Shipping Companies or Training Agencies, who provide the sea phases on ships operating worldwide, or are self sponsored.

UK Students: Successful completion of BSc Nautical Science and SVQ Level 3 in Merchant Vessel Operations plus 12 months seatime OR: Successful completion of Cadet Post Graduate course and SVQ Level 3 in Merchant Vessel Operations plus 12 months seatime. Oversees Students: Successful completion of HND Nautical Science plus 20 months of seatime and completion of ISF Training Record Book
